If creating content is my bread and butter, writing copy is my cheese and wine.
My ability to channel a variety of voices has made me a key copy player at every position I've held.
Shedd Aquarium: Social + email copy, 2022 advertising campaign concept
The project: At Shedd Aquarium, our scrappy marketing team covered a lot of creative projects. My main role was to manage, create and write copy for social posts, which required translating scientific facts and PR/science language into fun, engaging and social-first copy—while maintaining our"clever-not-cutesy," "no-puns," "smart-not-academic" brand voice. I also brought trendy copy and lines into our posts to "speak the language of social" and stay on-trend, while staying on-brand.
I also co-created the tagline for our 2022 advertising campaign—"The Answer Lives at Shedd."
My role in the campaign: co-developing the concept and tagline, #TheAnswerLivesAtShedd.
Threadless: Website + Email copy, blog copy, occasional social copy
The project: As the Content Manager and Copywriter at Threadless, I flexed my copy skills across a number of formats—from engaging win-back and promo emails, to long-form blog posts, short-form social ads/posts, and pun-y challenge pages
Adler Planetarium: Social Copy
The project: When I joined Adler, their social strategy and copy needed a refresh. I added a fun, playful, space-nerd voice into their channels a dash of extra personality into their social copy to give their posts some added humor.
Sprout Social: Digital video copy
The project: I co-spearheaded an educational YouTube series for Sprout Social to keep up with competitors who had already broken into the video space. This meant creating a new approach to script structure and balancing Sprout's voice with our authentic voice.
